Time to break a bad habit

The 2013 Legislature must break the state’s deficit-and-gimmick habit and make sure future budgets are sustainable over the long term.

That’s the major conclusion we draw from the latest projections about the state economy.

The state’s November 2012 Economic Forecast  predicts a positive budget balance for the current fiscal year, but years of deficits ahead.
